Peter James Field

Peter James Field has been an illustrator and fine artist for 20 years. His illustration clients include The Guardian, TIME Magazine and The New York Times, and his work has been shortlisted three times for the portrait award at the National Portrait Gallery.  

Peter says about his teaching:

"I’m particularly excited to introduce some of my approaches to portraiture, including the techniques of grisaille underpainting which have been in use since the Renaissance. These can help to unlock exciting (and very contemporary) ways to apply and maximise intense, emotive colour".
