Phoenix Studios

The Phoenix Studio is a dedicated sculpture studio set in a beautiful meadow near the village of Towersey in Oxfordshire. Run by artist and friend of Draw James Ort the studio also plays host to an annual Drawing Circus event as well as occasional life and portrait classes taught by our head tutor Jake Spicer as well as hosting a varied programme of art courses by well respected tutors.

Getting there by car:
Just a few minutes drive away from Junction 6 of the M40, we are quick and easy to get to by car and there are plenty of parking spaces.

Getting there by public transport:
The No.40 bus comes through Towersey and runs between High Wycombe, Studley Green, Stokenchurch, Chinnor and Thame. The Oxford Tube is a frequent, fast coach service between London and Oxford and it stops just a few miles away from Towersey. You can arrange a taxi from Lewknor to the Phoenix Studio (book in advance) or let us know when you are coming, and we can pick you up for a small fee. There are two train stations nearby – Princes Risborough and Haddenham & Thame Parkway. Both are just over 4 miles from the Phoenix Studio.
